This course makes it easy to prepare for the aural test in your Grade 1 Trinity practical exam. It carefully explains the type of questions you’ll get in the exam, what the examiner will be looking for in your answers and provides you with a range of digital quizzes so that you can get the practice you need to feel confident and ready.
The course is designed to be completed over a 2 week period, but you’ll have access for at least one year from purchase and for the length of time the course is running on this site.
Features
This online course divides your learning into 2 modules.
The first module contains 4 lessons with short video tutorials which are each dedicated to explaining what you need to do to answer each of the four questions in the aural test well.
After you’ve learnt what’s involved for each question, you’ll be given a digital quiz which focuses on giving you practice answering the style of question you’ve focused on.
The second module is dedicated entirely to aural practice and contains a collection of practice aural tests in a digital format.
Co-requisite
You should have practical skills on your instrument / voice that align with the level required in the Trinity College Grade 1 practical exam.

In my role as a piano teacher, I regularly prepare students for the Grade 1 Trinity Practical exam and I love to see students do well in all parts of the exam. I’ve put this course together to make it easy for students to prepare for the aural test in the exam by giving them the opportunity to practice the skills they need to develop at home.
